Paratroopers

A group did a study
Of jumping from planes
They measure the stress
Upon peoples brains

Each step of the way
Stress levels were more
From boarding the plane
Til they jumped out the door

Next they all tested
Those of many jumps
Stress levels didn’t move
Not even a bump

Right out the door
Surprise that they found
The level jumped up
Right before the ground

A lesson for us
As we live our life
Perhaps not to sweat
Our fears and our strife

One thing to fear
Death at the end
But those of great faith
On our Lord we depend

For this Tempo Tuesday I am sharing with you Daryl Madden’s “Paratroopers.” We have nothing to fear in this life or in death when we trust in the Lord. Madden posts a christian-focused poem roughly everyday on darylmadden.wordpress.com.
