Container of desire
A simple form of prayer
Addressing of Your God
Calming of soul still
Of Father, Abba, Lord
Surrender of our will
Acknowledge quality
Of our God embraced
Love, wisdom or grace
Through this request is based
Petition of request
The one thing that we need
Guidance, mercy, faith
In His hands we concede
Speak of aspiration
The result we desire
Granting of petition
Appealing of the higher
Sing a “bird of Praise”
Through God’s only Son
Our Savior and redeemer
And pray His will be done
Alone, I find myself
Of four walls within
Question of the stirring
Where do I begin?
Thoughts are calling me
A little panic here
Find something to do
Silence to be feared
Quiet to be filled
With music or TV?
Look for book of reading
Distraction leading me?
Or treasure of moment
With God, just to be
A dwelling of soul
His gifts filling me
Soothing of the deep
Sound familiar brings
That is found within
The peace that peepers sing
Lyric of persistence
One of community
Hidden of the little
A simple prayer to be
Covering of darkness
Voice of comfort known
Rhythm of heart beating
That we are not alone
Hope in breath of Spring
With hymn of solemn praise
That soon by grace of light
All of the earth to raise
A solitary candle
With glowing, simple flame
Joy within its mission
Of Presence to proclaim
Wisdom of the ages
Of guiding light to see
Peace within its gifting
The Lord is here with me
One of the perspective
Through trials which to cope
The Lord is our protection
Our joy and our hope
Permeate my being
This message flowing through
Knowing of Your Presence
To be a candle too
I offer acceptance
I offer my fear
I offer this moment
Right now and right here
I offer my future
I offer my past

To the hope that will last
I offer my failure
I offer my lies

The failure of will

We rest here in silence

One in souls praying
Of sweet harmony
Time of the stilling
Of the open ear
Allowing the flow
Of Word spoken clear
Deep is the movement
Of need we each seek
God of grace granting
Gifts each unique
One in the same
We all are adoring
Love is the gift

A resting in silence
Of solitude be
A healing of sorts
Of souls therapy

A nature of calling
