A Winters Snow

So softly and gently
Falls a winters snow
From heaven above
To the earth below

Peace is prevailing
His grace to bestow
Mercy is blessed
For each soul to know

Soul come to resting
Of prayer nice and slow
Being of stilling
Let the Spirit flow

Unique are the blessings
That we have to show
Giving, receiving
Of His love to sow

  1. I like the comparisons you make between our everyday experience and nature, to God’s character and action. Without considering God, such metaphors can only serve the writer as an ILLUSTRATION of some point we want to drive home. But when we consider our Creator, it means much more, for creation itself acts as an immediate SIGN of His creative love, presence, and action. Thanks!
