Draw a breath of Presence
Soak it deep within
Exhaling all worries
Prayer now to begin
Draw a breath of silence
Savoring the Word
Let go of the noise
Love the message heard
Draw a breath of stillness
Of mercy to embrace
Bask in sweet forgiveness
The gift of precious grace
Draw a breath of light
One of the divine
Let joy flow in our heart
Come now let it shine
Draw a breath repeating
Let us be aware
Blessed throughout the day
Each a living prayer
It came to me
Upon a breeze
A gift that set
My soul at ease
Breath of twilight
Cool and clean
Through Spirit sent
Of peace serene
I drank it in
It calmed my soul
Consuming here
My being whole
Transforming of
My attitude
Into a heart
Of gratitude
Before our day begins
Time to start performing
Take a step outside and
Catch a breath of morning
For a seed of beauty
A gift of the spawning
To dwell within the light
Catch a glimpse of dawning
Let it settle in
Worldly time to cease
In silence of the soul
Draw a taste of peace
Know that loves abounding
Blessings our God shares
With gratitude to offer
A whisper of prayer
Within the midst
He came into
And said to them
Peace be with you
And they rejoiced
When He appeared
Again, was peace
The Word He shared
As My Father
Has sent me
And so, my friends
I’m sending thee
He breathed on them
Come and share it
Love to receive
The Holy Spirit
A step into morning
A chill in the air
The first breath of autumn
So fresh and so clear
As the lights dawning
A vision appears
Upon the pasture
The mist dwelling there
A drawing of deep
Of breath to let go
The wisp of exhaling
To mist it now flows
A breath of blessing
Each soul to share it
For found in this air
Is the one breath of the Spirit
A moment of morning
Within the sunrise
A sacred vision
Was blessed to my eyes
The breath of the Spirit
In light did appear
That of the unseen
Through mist in the air
It blessed the pasture
The grass and the tree
Anointed the earth
And surely touched me
It moved along quickly
To another place
Sharing and spreading
The gift of God’s grace
It leaves us to ponder
With a prayer to lift
How will we share
The grace of His gift
With a vision of beauty
A phrase that we say
That this scene takes
Our breath away
Or encounter of grace
Of mercy to seize
We are overwhelmed
And fall to our knees
A taste or a glimpse
Beyond all our senses
A foreshadow of
When our new life commences
When we see the light
At our time of death
A falling into
Losing our breath
A pause into morning
To contemplate
A taste of our God
And his power so great
In vastness of sky
Of the empty air
A pasture of peace
In Presence of here
A breath of thought
A spark of desire
Gift of the light
Of soul to inspire
Love is the word
Into of knowing
To open the spicket
Of the Spirit flowing
Just for one moment
Not of an act, great
A practice of focus
To contemplate
One breath of breathing
Received as a gift
An offer returned
Of gratefulness lift
A realization
Of what our God gives
Fully dependent on
Our existence to live
Born out of love
Within His embrace
For everything’s blessed
And everything’s grace
