A battle of silence
Rages within
Of world and the spirit
This day who will win?
To avoid at all costs
The world tries to fill
The Spirit to empty
A choice of our will
Two centers of being
Who will have control?
One of aligning
Both body and soul
A fork in the way
Of a choice, clear
One of distractions
The other of prayer
Let us seek silence
Of the true Word
To follow the Spirit
Where God can be heard
The decision came down
Injustice was done
The day that it seemed
That evil had won
Not what we expected
The opposite shown
Now fear overwhelming
Of the great unknown
In these days of darkness
In the tomb all alone
Look to the light
The truth that is known
We are not of this world
But our hope in Him, lies
And just as our Lord
Yes, we know we will rise!
Know He is with us
Though in this battle fails
The war we will win
Because love always prevails!
